Victreebel was one of my favorites of the originals, and one of my favorites overall. Aerodactyl, Lapras, and Charizard were probably my all time favorites of the original 151.
5th gen had some decent desgins and I was excited they finally got an Ice-Dragon (However I was less than enthusiastic about "Victini". Interestingly enough Rayquaza seems to have access to the otherwise signature V-Create. Dunno why.)
1st and 3rd generations have to be my favorites. I loved the region of Hoenn and many of the new arrivals were great. 2nd generation was also amazing, and Lanturn & Skarmory were so loveable.

Thanks for sharing your favorites, too! Yeah, it was exciting to see an Ice-Dragon in 5th gen. Kyurem was a pretty badass legendary, too. And I'd have to agree that Victini was strange, both in design and function - I still don't like it.
1st and 2nd gens are my favs. I love Scolipede, Zekrom, and Chandelure from gen 5, but as a gen overall, 5 had some of the weirdest designs (ice cream cones and trash bags? really? lol) And Skarmory is a badass. XD
It's pretty much a blank board for each type and you draw a little picture of your favorite (Or one of your favorites) pokemon for that type. Dual types like Aerodactyl could fit under Rock or Flying - whichever you prefer.
There are tons of pokemon I adore or love, and so it's hard for me to pick a handful I truly love - I often end up making a long list instead

Though the newer games have been pretty cool recently 0_o
I'd recommend playing Black & White though. I love the old Pokemon but this one was really fun to play. And the animated sprites were entertaining.
